pax 3 charge connector insert key
thingiverse
If you're experiencing issues with your Pax 3 charger, you might need to replace the plastic part surrounding the charge connector. It's extremely difficult to remove this component without damaging it! To begin, use a fine drill bit to create a pilot hole on the edge of the plastic part. This will make it easier to lever out the connector later. Next, insert a fine screwdriver into the pilot hole and carefully pry out the plastic part. Be gentle, as this component is fragile and prone to breaking. Once you've removed the plastic part, slide the internal components out of the oven end. Be careful not to damage the two-prong metal spring that holds the charge connector in place. Now, remove the two metal pins from the Pax internals. Make sure not to lose them! To prepare the new plastic part, use a 1mm drill bit to create pilot holes for the metal pins. Hold the part firmly with pliers while inserting the pins into the holes. Use a spatula heated over an open flame to flatten the pin heads. This will ensure they fit securely into the Pax internals. With the pins in place, push the Pax internal components back into the metal tube, starting with the mouthpiece first. Line up the charge connector cutout with the connections on the internals. Then, insert the new plastic part into the window, making sure the edge aligns with the two-prong metal spring. Finally, give the part a firm push down onto a hard surface, and it should clip firmly into place. And that's it!
