I am currently undertaking a project as Creator of Learning and Discovery Experiences at Westport Library MakerSpace, spanning six weeks. Collaborating with staff and patrons, we crafted cardboard costumes embodying chess pieces, whereupon I captured participants' likenesses using Autodesk 123D Catch's scanning capabilities. Post-scanning, mesh editing occurred in Meshmixer, while defects were rectified within Netfabb. Each acquired model was seamlessly integrated into Tinkercad to form a complete piece. For more comprehensive details on this endeavour, visit http://monograph.io/joshburker/community-chess-set or peruse the photographs on https://www.flickr.com/photos/senorwences/albums/72157658496957881 The printed duplicates for the library were fabricated with precision using a MakerBot Replicator, extruding ABS at 0.3mm resolution and boasting an impressive 10% infill density.
