Pawn01-Robin
thingiverse
I was part of a six-week project as Creator of Learning and Discovery Experiences at Westport Library's MakerSpace. Together, staff members, patrons, and I designed and built cardboard costumes to dress up as chess pieces. We used Autodesk 123D Catch to scan participants' shapes. The scanned data were edited in Meshmixer and repaired with Netfabb. Each shape was then added to the base using Tinkercad. To make the library copy, we printed on a MakerBot Replicator in ABS plastic with .3mm resolution and 10% infill.
