Pawn (infill - shell intersection)

Pawn (infill - shell intersection)

This file is intended for computer-aided design, not three-dimensional printing. It's a Fusion 360 model that also includes an STL export due to compatibility requirements with Thingiverse. The file showcases the intersection between infill and shell structures in a 3D printed pawn. This project responds to Chuck Hellebuyck's video, where this type of pattern appears on a 3D printed pawn. I created this design to investigate what kind of pattern emerges when intersecting a rectilinear grid (similar to infill) with a pawn-like shape. Interestingly, the resulting pattern resembles that seen on Chuck's 3D printed pawn. You can view Chuck's video here: https://youtu.be/juI-8WFEtvI?t=3m8s
