Pawl for a Teapot (electric power)
thingiverse
Original plastic pawl failed and it became impossible to shut a lid of a teapot, which in its turn made impossible to operate it. Bimetallic plate aimed to switch off an electricity supply could not reach required temperature due to substantial heat trasfer. Small failure has resulted in a complete non operational teapot. I've reengineered a bit the original part to make it compatible to 3D printing, basically it has been divided into 2 simmetrical parts, which were glueded (with super glue) afterwards. Moreover two holes have been drilled to secure a spring from drifting away. After several refinements the idea worked out, so no need to buy a new teapot and spur inadequate consumption.
