Designed as two distinct components, the inner one can be printed in multiple colors by switching filaments at layer changes. The parts have a slight tolerance and fit together neatly. If they come loose, you can simply glue them into place. I printed mine using Cura with adaptive layers enabled. This approach produces smooth rounded tops while maintaining fast print speeds for the rest of the design.
