The ornate mosaic on display was part of a pavement mosaic found in Milan's Via Gorani in 1913. The preserved portion formed an edging with a three-dimensional meandering motif featuring swastikas and multicolored squares, situated between an outer band of white tiles and the innermost field with a white background and colorful marble shingles. Dating is proposed for the second half of the first century BC. The mosaic is now housed at the Civic Archaeological Collections in Milan.
