The original Pauli-slingshot is a design by Dr. Claus Mattheck. This slingshot has been used for a long time by my friend Uwe Standfuß for tournament slingshot shooting. With her, Uwe competed as the best German shooter in Shanghai in 2019. At the beginning of 2021, Uwe and I started a conversation about slingshot shooting techniques . Out of curiosity, I started with him to give his hitherto beloved PAULI-slingshot a facelift and updates. At this point in time, Uwe was already haunted by a number of ideas and optimizations, which I subsequently implemented in several 3D models for printing until the PAULI II Sport (Uwe Standfuß Edition) was finished in the end. The Pauli II Sport is definitely not an Ergo Frame, but a target frame tailored to Uwe’s needs for use in tournaments. The main changes compared to the original Pauli-slingshot are as follows: - Asymmetrical handle - Shaping the lower grip area for the little finger - Stronger edge rounding in the upper grip area between thumb and forefinger - Defined molding of a fiber optic holder on the fork - Reduced fork height - Widening of the fork ends - Thickening of the frame from 8 to 15mm The Pauli II Sport is held in a hammer grip. The outer fork width 97mm. As always, have fun with it and take care of your safety like that of others.
