Pattern Blocks: They're frequently used in K-5 math classes to help students explore shapes and their interconnections, make art projects, and build a foundation for other concepts like fractions. While designing one by one is relatively easy, creating all of them from a hexagon can be slightly challenging, especially when trying to reach a 12-gon or even bigger structure. This makes it an interesting entry-point 3D design project for students to learn about sketching and constraints. The all-in-one design fits a 140 x 140 platform; the square inside has a side length of 12mm and a thickness of 4mm. If you have a large bed, please scale up by 200% to get a regular set of pattern blocks. Each individual piece is built with reference to a square that's 20mm x 20mm x 8mm in size. Have fun!
