At Landstown High School's Governor's STEM & Technology Academy, under the guidance of advising instructor Jennifer Renne, students are designing pendants for a necklace that pay homage to the US military. The eagle pendant draws inspiration from the Bald Eagle, the US national bird, symbolizing patriotism for America. Aesthetics and patterns enhance the design. Inspired by Landstown's mascot, the snake pendant is modeled after the "don't tread on me" poster used in the US army, reinforcing the theme of military service with a recognizable and emotive symbol. Lastly, the jet pendant was created to honor the US Air Force, as many friends and family members have dedicated their lives to it; patterns are added for visual appeal.
