* Must be printed using ABS or PETG. PLA will melt and deform. Will be adding more info shortly. Uses a 12 Volt DC motor from Amazon, 2 micro switches, 2 diodes, wire, connectors, paracord, weigths and misc metric bolts. Reversing polarity raises or lowers the umbrella. It is not necessary to remove the manual hand crank and cord. I am using an ESP32 T-Relay board for control. Lithium Ion battery recharged with a solar panel for power. It also has an anemometer for wind sensing. It is all tied into my home automation system using ESPHome on Home Assistant. I have 5 umbrellas, 2 on one circuit and 3 on the other. The longest run from the control box is approx. 16 meters. I'm using 18 gauge outdoor buried wire. So far they have withstood 120 degrees F without a failure. Note: Amazon has different motor that look the same but the shaft cutaway is a different depth.
