PPE should be readily available when transporting patients with infectious diseases in ambulances or hospitals. The protective covering can be constructed using transparent TPU or clear vinyl material that is 16 gauge thick, along with rods made from 1/2 inch ABS pipes. The overall dimensions of the enclosure are maintained at 2mx0.6mx0.6m to ensure a snug fit. Secure plastic zippers should be attached to the sides of the expanded plastic cover for easy access. Eight glove ports, each measuring 4 inches wide, are provided on the sides for attaching nitrile gloves quickly and efficiently. For proper air circulation, two HEPA filters with a pore size of 0.3 micrometers, ensuring 99.99% or more filtration efficiency, should be used at the inlet. At the outlet, a combination of HEPA and biological substance filters is recommended for optimal safety. In the exhaust box, a one-way valve and an exhaust fan are necessary components. Typically, a 5CFM exhaust fan provides sufficient ventilation by circulating the air 12 times per hour within this containment volume. A 12-volt battery powers the exhaust unit, which can be stored in a pouch attached to the canopy for easy access and convenience.
