Pathfinder Home Edition v1.5, an Autodesk Maya tool, empowers animators to transfer their animation onto a defined course. More robust than Maya's native Motion Path tool, this add-on delivers seamless results without foot sliding and preserves the original animation integrity. Key features include real-time output, non-sliding feet, user-friendly setup, effortless deletion of waypoints sans animation damage, and baking into different layers. However, users may encounter a broken linear path after creating a new one; this can be resolved by using the refresh button or closing and reopening the tool. Some features are unavailable with non-linear paths due to a different algorithm; developers plan to add these later. In some cases, character deformation occurs post-linear path creation; to rectify, select the Master Control and adjust the Bank attribute accordingly. Pathfinder's version history includes bug fixes and algorithm updates.
