Paste Pusher with Toothbrush Holder

This is my RemixChallenge entry! I've added a long snout to your Toothbrush! Now you can save on toothpaste and bring your toothbrush with you on your travels. I've kept the original design mostly the same, and created a Piggy for your toothbrush. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I've designed every overhang to be at least 45 degrees so that no support material is needed. How I Designed This How I Designed the Toothbrush Holder I loved the original design, so I wanted to keep a lot of it the same. I made every new fillet the same radius as the original design, and kept the thickness of the model the same. It was very difficult for me to modify the original .STL files, so I had to recreate the design in AutoCAD. You can see my progress pictures showing how I managed to overlay my drawing with the original model to create a perfect mirror image of the animal. After I recreated the original model, I began researching into the average size of toothbrush heads. This is how I came to use the models dimensions. At first, I was going to make the "snout" more square-shaped, but after printing it, I found it did not match the style of the original animals very well - So I gave the snout a rounded edge and added nostrils. To support the bridge of the snout, I included a 45-degree ramp so that no support material would be needed. Original .STL file imported into AutoCAD Drawing over top of the original model to get a perfect mirror image The dimensions of the original model were easy to mimic since almost every value was rounded to the nearest millimeter Recreating the model using circles The snout I had originally designed Mirroring the face to create a symmetrical face Extruding the face Adding I did not like the square nose, so I made the top round with the snout and added nostrils Final drawing of the updated toothpaste pusher and toothbrush holder.
