"Paste Pusher" One Handed Helper Stand

When I entered the remix challenge, I chose to remix a 3D model that would genuinely make a difference in people's lives. Instead of remaking the popular "paste pusher," I decided to create a version that could assist individuals with disabilities that affect their bimanual arm coordination. My goal was to design a model that could be easily assembled with one hand, while also allowing users to customize it according to their needs. To achieve this, I started by building a stand that would hold accessories securely in place using snap-on attachments. Next, I designed two types of cup holders and a toothbrush holder, along with a bin for storing dental floss or other personal items. The stand also features an area where users can place their toothbrush while applying toothpaste. In the center of the stand, I incorporated the original "paste pusher" design, which enables users to push toothpaste to the open end of the tube with ease. My ultimate goal was to take a widely used 3D model and adapt it for individuals with disabilities that prevent them from using two hands when preparing their toothbrush for brushing.
