Pasta dryer

Pasta dryer

I wanted to build the pasta dryer by fma (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16549), but disliked the notion of needing metal parts, including nuts, washers and a rod. I then came across the dryer created by Brecht (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:552913), which had the top design that suited my preferences, yet came in a different size altogether. Therefore, I combined ideas from both designs to create this project. Instructions: Additionally required are: 1x 10mm diameter rod, measuring 500mm long 3x 6mm diameter rods, each 160mm in length 6x 6mm diameter rods, at 250mm in total* Keep in mind that you can alter the rod lengths to your liking. I specified the lengths used in my creation. Firstly, print both top and bottom parts. During printing, it was feasible for me to do so without support material. However, to ensure stability during construction, I applied thin ridges as a makeshift support to the upper section. Insert an 11mm rod into both the top and bottom holes. Place three 6mm rods within the bottom component, forming a tripod base in the process. Then insert six 6mm rods within the upper part. With all components properly installed, this pasta dryer is ready for use.
