Passive Engine Cooler for DOF Reality Motion Platform

The motors of the DOF Reality Motion Platform generate considerable heat during extended usage periods. To mitigate this issue, I developed a passive engine cooling system. This cooling system comprises two rib holders and a cover that supports 10x10.5x1mm aluminum cooling ribs internally. Thirteen cooling fins for the fuselage are constructed from 10x10.5x1mm aluminum U-profile material, measuring 140mm in length each. These fins are pressed into place within the holder, allowing the cooling component to be fitted over the motor. For optimal cooling fin length on the head cooling system, measurements should be taken after completing the 3D printing process. Enjoy experimenting with this design.
