This is an experimental design that proved difficult to print well. For a more successful subsequent design, see my Micro Fender for Bicycle Rack.DesignInspired by the Genetic™ Carbon Micro Fender, with the same 40° coverage, but meant for wider tyres and to mount on my bike's seatstay bosses. My bike is built on one of Vélo Orange's second-generation Pass Hunter frames (circa 2020), which support 700c tyres up to 35mm wide or 650b tyres up to 48mm wide. I use 700c, but I've included STLs for both options. For any other variants that you may require, recompile in OpenSCAD with different parameters.InstructionsPrint mudguard with ~1.9mm walls and zero infill. No supports necessary. Give it no top or bottom layers, in order to produce sockets for upper mounting hardware. A raft is suggested to help with bed adhesion.Prepare mounting hardware, which consists of four 2mm rods cut to the lengths you deem necessary and a printed upper and lower end (lower yet to be modeled) glued to each rod. Screw the lower rod ends to the seatstay bosses.Glue the upper rod ends to the corresponding sockets on the sides of the mudguard. To DoGet decent object-to-raft adhesion.Design a mount for the lower ends of the rods.
