Currently, a partially completed Roman mandolin, featuring a stamped inscription "G. Gallesi Roma", is taking shape. Estimated to have been crafted between 1920-1950, its design has proven dimensionally accurate when modeled using Inventor 2020. This achievement marks a significant milestone in an ambitious project aimed at accurately reproducing the entire instrument. As of June 30th, 2020, the soundboard and an initial assembly of the parts have been added to the prototype. Meanwhile, on September 18th, 2020, the neck was successfully integrated into the design.
