parts fan / layer fan duct for Peter Stoneham mount on rigidbot
thingiverse
This is Peter Stoneham's dual extruder mount and duct, designed for improved functionality. It's my first design, with some room for improvement due to its slightly wobbly structure but still serves the purpose. A necessary addition to this assembly is a centrifugal fan, which can be sourced from the link provided below. To optimize printing results, it's crucial to rotate the support arm by 90 degrees and place the mount flat down. Adequate supports are required for the fan duct over its inlet opening, as two temporary supports were used initially to aid with bridging across the arm sections extending past their natural path. For mounting the centrifugal fan onto the duct's arm structure, two M4 bolts measuring 30mm in length accompanied by washers have been utilized. The linear bearing bolt serves as a sturdy attachment point for the support arm to securely anchor it in place. To address this issue effectively, an additional support has been implemented ensuring stability and maintaining proper alignment in relation to nozzle height at all times.
