This model was created during an internship activity organized by the University of Catania (DICAR) and Liceo Artistico M.M. Lazzaro. The Palazzo delle Poste, a masterpiece designed in 1919, is an opera by Francesco Fichera, located at the intersection between Via Etnea and the main entrance of Giardino Bellini of Catania. The outside facades were intentionally created for public access while the interior facades form part of the courtyard. This particular lion head is situated on the Palazzo delle Poste Centrale of Catania, designed by architect Francesco Fichera in the first half of the 20th century. The sculpture is crafted from basalt and can be linked to the Baroque Sicilian tradition of the 18th century. Author: Edoardo Garozzo, Marco Addario Tutor: Federico M.
