This DIY 3D printer, dubbed "Part-Y," boasts an eye-catching design with its aluminum frame covered in clear plexiglass adorned with custom vinyl decals. The printer is enclosed for safety and to minimize fumes, featuring charcoal filters on the air outlet. High-quality linear guides are used on all axes, while a MakerBot mk7 extruder handles 1.75mm filament. The build envelope measures 210x210x200mm, with x and y axes capable of 240mm movement. Control is via a Sanguinololu board and power comes from an internal 400W PSU. Details on the printer, including a bill of materials, will be provided in a future update.
