Part sorting container to suit Tactix carry-all
thingiverse
About a year ago, I created custom storage and sorting containers to fit my Tactix branded parts carry-alls perfectly. These affordable and flexible containers are ideal for organizing small parts. The 3D printed versions have more rigid side walls compared to the original ones. Recently, I came across Alexandre Chappel's YouTube video where he featured a label and finger pull design on his thing:4160638 project. I decided to print his 1x1 design but found it too tall for my needs, so I revised my previous design and added a label holder and finger pull (handle) to make it more functional. I refined the design several times until I reached the final version where the label is recessed by 2mm from the top. This allows the partition holders in the carry-all to hold the containers in place without interfering with the lid of the carry-all. This design is also parametric, making it easy to customize and print any size. I plan to share the parametric F3D files soon for everyone's convenience. I printed these containers using eSun ABS+ and PLA with excellent results. The optimal layer height was 0.2mm for some prints and 0.3mm for others, resulting in high-quality finishes. I used a Anycubic Mega i3 and my Voron 2.1 printers to print the containers. The printing settings were as follows: PLA - bed temperature 60°C / extruder temperature 210°C; ABS+ - bed temperature 90°C / extruder temperature 235°C. I printed at a speed of 80mm/s for most layers and 30mm/s for the first layer to ensure accurate results.
