Part Sorting Container (thin wall) suits Tactix carry-all
thingiverse
About a year ago, I designed replacement part storage and sorting containers to fit my Tactix branded Parts carry-alls. These affordable and versatile containers are made from 3D printed materials that provide excellent rigidity, even when using the thinner 1.2mm version. Recently, I discovered a video on YouTube by Alexandre Chappel featuring a label and finger pull design (thing:4160638). I adapted his 1x1 design, but found it was too tall for my needs, so I revised my original design to include a label holder and finger pull. Through multiple refinements, I created a final design where the label is recessed 2mm from the top, allowing partition holders in the carry-all to securely hold the containers without interfering with the lid. This updated design features thinner shell walls at 1.2mm (previously 1.6mm: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4260039). I also made this design parametric, making it easy to customize any size as needed. If you're interested in receiving the parametric f3d files, please leave a comment. The containers were printed using eSun ABS+ and PLA with excellent results, achieved at layer heights of 0.3mm and 0.2mm. Printing took place on an Anycubic Mega i3 printer. Settings for PLA printing include bed temperature at 60 degrees Celsius and extruder temperature at 210 degrees Celsius, while the first layer was printed at a speed of 30mm/s. For ABS+ printing, the settings are bed temperature at 90 degrees Celsius and extruder temperature at 235 degrees Celsius, with the first layer printed at 80mm/s. UPDATE: August 13, 2020 - f3d file added
