Mount a dowel on your wire shelf to showcase frequently used items that might otherwise clutter your workspace. Designing and creating it took around 20 minutes and 50 minutes per part (with three parts for a 4-foot dowel). Choose the "Smaller Shelf" version if your shelf has a 3/4-inch wire rod gap, while the pictured version is for a 1-1/4-inch gap. Both can hold spools up to 2 inches in radius. Simply snap the dowel holder into place on your wire shelf at Home Depot and let the dowel's weight help secure it. The dowel is 15mm diameter wood, although copper pipe works well too. For a stronger part, use a 100% fill when extruding.
