I upgraded the cable chain link on my fan mount by adding a small panel to reinforce it and extending the screw holes so I can adjust the height as needed. This modification allowed me to sit the fan mount higher up on my hotend, which was a key goal for me. The fan still fits snugly into its new home, giving me the reassurance of a secure connection rather than a loose fit around the output of the fan.
