Part Cooler for the Prometheus v2 Hotend. The design goal is to have the part cooler connect directly to the heatsink area of the hotend, sandwiched between the heatsink and a 25mm fan. This approach aims to keep parts, size, and weight minimal since the person requesting this will be using it on a delta printer. This part remains untested and unprinted, so feedback is highly valued. There are four files available. The "long" variants are 4mm longer to accommodate two nuts near the nozzle of the hotend. If you only have one nut above the nozzle of the Prometheus hotend, the "short" variants will be more suitable. The next difference lies in air flow. The "no heatsink" variants block any airflow from the new fan reaching the heatsink. In other words, the new fan provides no additional cooling to the heatsink, earning it the "no heatsink" name. This means all air flow from the part-cooling fan exits through the duct, so you may need to modulate (PWM) the fan speed to prevent overcooling the part. The variants without "no heatsink" redirect only a portion of the fan airflow down to the duct for part cooling. You'll likely set the fan speed higher for this model, which will also provide some additional heatsink cooling. Post-Printing Instructions Mount using fan screws that are 10mm longer than those for the 25mm fan. Place the part cooler between the fan and heatsink, with screws passing through fan mount holes, then the part cooler, and attaching directly into the heatsink. How This Was Designed This design was created in Solidworks using models of the Prometheus hotend and a 25mm fan as references.
