This impressive project was brought to life by Thomas, an 11-year-old whiz kid who participated in the "hack your drone" week workshop organized by Parrot and MagicMakers in Paris just last week. You can check out all the juicy details on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1402232. Thomas took it upon himself to transform the Parrot Jumping Sumo into a fully-fledged Backhoe loader, a feat that showcases his incredible creativity and skills. To build this remarkable machine, Thomas used an array of cutting-edge tools, including: The Tickle App, which allowed him to code with Scratch and pilot both the drone and the Arduino in real-time. An Arduino Bean, which served as the brain behind the operation, processing all the necessary commands and controls. A standard servo motor, carefully connected to the Arduino's entrances to provide precise movement and control. A 9V battery, providing the much-needed power to keep the entire system running smoothly. And finally, a little string, used to add that perfect touch of elegance and finesse to the overall design.
