The Parrot AR Drone 2 Quadrocopter features a 3D model created in 3ds Max, which is compatible with 3ds Max 2012, 2013 and higher versions. The model comes in two variants: a simple one with medium-sized diffuse textures (1024*1024) for basic gaming purposes and simple usage, rendered using Scanline Renderer; and another version with generated textures and full materials, rendered using Mental Ray. This model is separated into parts and groups, including the holding body, battery, fans, upper body (outdoor cover/indoor cover), and more. Importantly, it was created using a real-life drone as reference, not just images. It's rigged to allow animating the fans' speed, controlling LED lights, and attaching the drone to a dummy controller for animation purposes. The model has 41,575 polygons and 39,431 vertices, with previews rendered using Mental Ray.
