Here are two compelling reasons for the pedestal-foot: Firstly, the skycontroller won't tilt backwards when placed on the ground, and secondly, the entire weight doesn't strain the usb-connector, which could lead to broken solder points on the circuit board. I removed the unnecessary weights from the controller (about 115g) because they were useless. It works seamlessly with smartphones and should also work with tablets. Please test it and provide some feedback. Due to varying tolerances, you'll need to try different positions until the pegs snugly fit into the holes. Sand down the round pegs as much as necessary for them to be removable without any issues. If the pegs are too small, slightly adjust the scaling. Alternatively, you can mount it with some velcro-tape or similar. The pedestal-foot prevents the skycontroller from tipping over when laid down and also prevents mechanical stress on the usb-connector, which could damage the solder points on the circuit board. If the pegs don't fit properly, sand them until they fit snugly in the holes. The pedestal can be removed and reattached as needed. If the pegs are too small, scale them up slightly and sand them down for a smooth finish. It also works with tablets, at least it does for me!
