Final update - It's taken a long while to work on this and it was very close to being finished, but I've acquired new materials and I'm rethinking the whole design to combine it with my CNC projects. I know this isn't optimal for most of you here, but it's the only way for me to move forward. This project is hereby closed, but I'll leave the "Thing" here as a reference. Thanks for your interest! This is a CoreXY style printer that I'm building. Made with 20x20mm extrusions, Ramps 1.4, 10mm Igus bushing for the Z-axis, THK linear rails for X and Y, TMC2130 drivers for sensorless homing on X and Y, and 100mm carbon tubes for the Z-axis and bed assembly. Not the most reproducible printer due to the use of specific THK linear rails I have left over. But my reason for uploading here is to share and release my FreeCAD files with others. Updates and documentation will be added depending on my availability. But I'll use this as a log, and I'll add to it as often as possible. Print Settings Printer: Prusa I3 clone Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.35 Infill: 50% Notes: Printed with E3D Volcano, 0.6mm nozzle using PETG. Support needed on the following parts (only latest revisions): carriage top and bottom, bearing belt guide B, stepper holder right, xy brackets, corner pulley brackets. Custom Section Updates to design Z stepper bracket r0.02 (20170608) Updated hole for Nema17 collar Z rod holder r0.2 (20170605) Updated size for M5 nut Carriage top and bottom r1.1 (20170311) Featuring belt fasteners and slack "adjuster" Bearing belt guide B r0.3 (20170302) Changed inner diameter to fit M3 screw Stepper holder right r0.1 (20170302) Based on left holder, not an optimal design. Will consider creating a different one. Xy brackets r1.0 (20170302) Changed design. Used AutoCAD 360 instead of FreeCAD just to test it out. Xy brackets r0.1 (20170216) Fit is snug. Need to test with all screws before releasing basic design. Orientation in main file is XZ = wrong. Minor thing Would like to improve support for upper 4 of the 8x M3 screw heads. Not critical, clearance might still be beneficial. Corner pulley brackets r1.1 (20170309) Changed design to make more room for belts. Changed design to print with less overhang. Corner pulley brackets r1.0 (20170304) Changed design to embed bearings. Changed design to fit on Z-extrusion only (due to the way the extrusion will be assembled). Corner pulley brackets r0.4 (20170219) Added fillet to counterbore. Fixed hole size for M3 screws Corner pulley brackets r0.3 (20170218) Changed design to fit an offset extrusion design. Used AutoCAD 360 instead of FreeCAD just to test it out. Orientation for export is wrong for some reason - Will look into this. Need to fillet counterbore hole to remove overhang in the next version! Corner pulley brackets r0.2 (20170216) Redid all again. Fixed fillet with different design. Lowered the screw head clearance. Need to test after print (pending). Corner pulley brackets r0.1 (20170216) Missing a fillet. duh... Could be that the heads of the screws near the corner will hit. Either increase distance or lower the heads into part.
