Working on it, constantly upgrading information and files. This Adapter allows you to utilize Parkside 20 X Team Batteries with Makita Tools. As a long-time user of Makita's 18V series, I'm fed up with the exorbitant prices they charge for their batteries. One day, while browsing through a local Lidl store, I spotted this X20 Team Battery for an unbeatable price of 16.99€ - a 20V, 2000mAh powerhouse. That sparked an idea: could it be adapted to fit my Makita tools? I purchased one and disassembled it to inspect its internal components and take precise measurements. I was impressed by the battery's sturdy construction, which features standard 5S 18650 cells branded as "Parkside" but actually manufactured by Samsung. Additionally, the balancing board boasts current and temperature protection - a welcome surprise. After conducting my analysis, I discovered that the pinout of the Parkside battery differs significantly from Makita's. The positive and negative terminals are reversed, making it essential to install the battery in the opposite direction than usual. Furthermore, the temperature protection system in this adapter is currently limited to the built-in Parkside PCB, as the Makita battery and tool system require a third pin with the same voltage as the positive pin to ensure proper functionality. In contrast, the Parkside system employs only one positive output pin, accompanied by multiple negative terminals with varying resistance. To resolve this issue, I've designed the adapter to connect the positive and third pins, effectively communicating the battery's status to the tool.
