I work at a local bike repair shop where we utilize the Park TS-4 wheel truing stand, which I highly recommend due to its exceptional quality and functionality. However, one drawback of this model is that it doesn't come with the TSB-2 base, which offers a convenient feature for holding spoke wrenches. Looking back at some old photos from my TS-2, which I purchased in 1992, I was reminded of Park's impressive durability over time. Their products truly stand the test of years and heavy use! To address this issue with our current wheel truing stand, I took precise measurements of my TSB-2 base to accurately duplicate just the spoke holder section in Fusion360. This design will accommodate up to four spoke wrenches, but feel free to modify it as needed by adjusting the pattern within the F3D file. The dimensions are optimized for standard Park spoke wrenches like the popular SW-0 model. While this new design should work seamlessly with the classic SW-0, I suspect that it might not be compatible with larger wrenches such as the Master spoke wrench from Park (SW-20.2). Nevertheless, making adjustments to fit this specific tool shouldn't pose a significant challenge. In my opinion, the traditional style of the SW-0 outshines its more advanced counterpart, and our shop agrees on this preference. To ensure secure attachment, I've also incorporated provisions for screws that can be used to mount the new spoke holder to a plywood base – similar to how our shop stand is set up. This addition will provide a sturdy and reliable solution for holding spoke wrenches within easy reach during repairs or adjustments.
