Park pro repair stand replacement lock blocks
cults3d
This little item will probably only interest a select few, as I've got two Park Tools pro repair stands, and one of the lock block sets has gone missing. Rather than ordering a replacement, I decided to experiment with 3D printed parts, so I designed these in Fusion 360 and had them printed. If you have a Park stand that these will work with, it's likely because you already possess the lock blocks; since they're machined from steel, they won't ever wear out. They need to be printed solidly, and this design accommodates a large M12x1.5 bolt I had leftover from suspension work on my car. To my surprise, it actually works well. When tightened sufficiently to hold a bike, it made some disgruntled cracking sounds, but so far, it has held up perfectly through several repair jobs. Currently, I have it set just tight enough to support a large bike (my Fuel EX in an XL 21.5" size fits comfortably) but I can still push on it to adjust its position. A Fusion 360 export file is included, should you happen to have a bolt that will fit and isn't threaded with M12x1.5.
