sketchfab
This figure is situated on panel one from the archaeological site Morro do Avencal in Urubici, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The seven rock art panels in the site feature human faces, animal and human figures, and other types of engravings. You can view additional panels here: https://sketchfab.com/models/6d2fb818dad2431c818f2882cabbb393. The engravings have been linked to the archaeological record of southern Jê groups in the region, as documented by Piazza (1966), Rohr (1971), Piazza and Prous (1977), Prous (1994), Riris and Corteletti (2015), and Da Silva (2001).
