Located at the heart of Seine-Maritime in Normandy, the Clères Park is a zoological park founded in 1919 by ornithologist and naturalist Jean Delacour on an exceptional site. Both a botanical garden with English-style plants containing rare species and a castle whose history dates back to the 11th century are found there. A total of 1400 animals live in this animal park, with nearly one thousand roaming free. Animal collections have an ornithological dominant: different species of cranes, flamingos, ibises, geese, turacos or pheasants are preserved here. Many mammals are also present: antelopes, wallabies, gibbons, red pandas, tamarins, ouistitis and two lemur species. On the garden side, Henry Avray-Tipping, an English landscape architect from the "Arts and Crafts" movement, created gardens in front of the castle at Jean Delacour's request. These restored terraces since 2012 feature a wide variety of flowering perennials with pastel colors (pinks, hardy geraniums).
