Jurassic Pet presents a Low-Poly animal theme collection, with mobile-friendly models suitable for rendering and in-game purposes. The current model showcased is the Parasaurolophus. Key features of this model include a low polygon count, papercraft-style appearance, and rigging. It also includes animations such as idle, walk, and joyful. The Parasaurolophus, near to Saurolophus or 'near lizard crest,' has a phonetic pronunciation of Pah-rah-sore-o-loe-fus. Named by William Parks in 1922, it belongs to the classification Chordata, Reptilia, Dinosauria, Ornithischia, Hadrosauridae, and Lambeosaurinae. The species include P. walkeri (type), P. tubicen, and P. cyrtocristatus. This herbivore dinosaur could reach up to 9.5 meters in length for larger individuals. Fossils representing Parasaurolophus have been found in Canada (Alberta, Dinosaur Park Formation) and the USA (New Mexico, Kirtland Formation; Utah, Kaiparowits Formation). It existed during the Campanian of the Cretaceous period. Remains include several skulls and partial skeletons of varying completeness. Parasaurolophus is a widely recognized hadrosaur due to its distinctive skull crest. Although related to Saurolophus, under modern systematics, it's classified as a lambeosaurine hadrosaurid. Its closest relatives include Hypacrosaurus, Corythosaurus, and Lambeosaurus. Interestingly, among lambeosaurines, the Asian genus Charonosaurus shares strikingly similar head crest features with Parasaurolophus.
