Parasaurolophus

If this proves popular, I will work on some other Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures,as well as accessories and variants of this model if requested. I could possibly do things like battle wounds, dino-rider armor, a wall mountable bust, a jungle base. So Please post your makes, hit like, and provide feedback on what you would like to see in the comments.

Parasaurolophus was a hadrosaurid, part of a diverse family of Cretaceous dinosaurs known for their range of bizarre head adornments. This genus is known for its large, elaborate cranial crest, which at its largest forms a long curved tube projecting upwards and back from the skull. Charonosaurus from China, which may have been its closest relative, had a similar skull and potentially a similar crest. Visual recognition of both species and sex, acoustic resonance, and thermoregulation have been proposed as functional explanations for the crest. It is one of the rarer hadrosaurids, known from only a handful of good specimens.

As always I will promote and REWARD the first person to post a quality make (must enable tips on your profile for reward). A quality make is a successful, complete, hopefully decent looking print of at least 80% scale. This doesn't necessarily need painted but extra bonus if it is.

Update!: https://www.thingiverse.com/Justin87/about was the winner of this things "First Make Award" check out their page!

Happy Printing!

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT5DQDqtJ2w"></oembed>

Print Settings

Printer:

PancakeBot

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.3mm layer height or better

Infill:

15%

Filament: PolyMaker Polysmooth PLA green

Notes:

Probably best to orient this on his feet as provided to hide supports and clean up, this is a good candidate for sla with the detail level but a challenging print to clean up no matter how you do it...
