Parasaurolophus

If this takes off, I'll focus on other dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, as well as accessories and variants of this model if requested. Ideas like battle wounds, dino-rider armor, a wall-mountable bust, or a jungle base are definitely possible. Please post your creations, hit the like button, and provide feedback in the comments with what you'd like to see. Parasaurolophus was a hadrosaurid dinosaur, part of a diverse family known for their bizarre head adornments during the Cretaceous period. This genus is famous for its large, elaborate cranial crest, which forms a long curved tube projecting upwards and back from the skull at its largest. Charonosaurus from China, possibly its closest relative, had a similar skull and potentially a similar crest. Functional explanations for the crest include visual recognition of both species and sex, acoustic resonance, and thermoregulation. Parasaurolophus is one of the rarer hadrosaurids, known from only a few good specimens. As always, I'll promote and reward the first person to post a quality make (must enable tips on your profile for the reward). A quality make is a successful, complete print of at least 80% scale. It doesn't necessarily need to be painted, but extra credit if it is. Update! Justin87 was the winner of this thing's "First Make Award." Check out their page! Happy Printing!
