Paranthropus robustus fossilizes in Kromdraai, South Africa. This significant find dates back 2 million years ago. The Paranthropus robustus specimen is molded from epoxy resin cast. It measures 104 mm in length, 28 mm in width, and 52 mm in height. RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp24 (cast) references this fossil discovery. A right mandible fragment, TM 1517, was uncovered by Robert Broom in 1938. Paranthropus robustus is also classified as Australopithecus robustus. The Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of Pennsylvania created the cast. This Paranthropus robustus specimen is part of the teaching collection of the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Modelled by Steve Davis.
