This mandible cast was created in 1837 from a specimen housed at the Philadelphia Natural Academy of Sciences and originally recovered from Big Bone Lick in Kentucky. The mandible was identified as Megalonyx, but Dr. Robert McAfee, Anatomy Professor at GA-PCOM, confirms it is actually Paramylodon. It was 3-D scanned with a Go!Scan 50 on March 6, 2019, at the New York State Museum.
