Paramotor PPG Hand Throttle
thingiverse
I created a hand throttle for paramotors because Thingiverse was missing one. Here's my design. The bolt holes are 2mm, yet they have 6mm supports. This allows you to drill them to 3mm and use nuts and bolts or just one side and self-tapping screws. It is designed to work with bicycle gear cable, fuel line fits as a cable guide, standard 17.3mm surface mount momentary push button fits with an 11.5mm thread. I included two throttle levers: one for smaller movement on DLE carbs and an angled lever for larger movement on Walbro style carb. Printed at 40% infill, 1.2mm layer thickness, 3 layer walls, no supports, PLE. It feels strong enough. Why not print it 100% infill for extra strength? I would. Two washers fit either side of the lever and a 2-3mm bolt all the way through the lever for support. Add a velcro hand strap and it's good to go for a self-build or cheap replacement throttle. UPDATE: I added a new file 'paramotor throttle updated 1'. This one is beefed up in a couple of areas. I left the old file, but I recommend this new one for printing.
