Parametric Z motor mount spacer for the Ender 2 / Ender 3
thingiverse
The Ender 2 (and Ender 3) Z-motor mount retains the motor roughly one millimeter too close to the aluminum extrusion, forcing the lead screw into an angle instead of keeping it parallel to the extrusion. This results in the lead screw binding, particularly when the nozzle is near the bed. My Ender required only a one millimeter spacer, but with the Customizer, you can adjust this thickness to any value needed (up to ten millimeters). You can also modify the diameter of the bolt holes if they print too small or too large - I printed mine at 4.5 millimeters; you may need a larger hole if printing using PETG. Use the 'Open in Customizer' link above, or use this link https://goo.gl/PM8FjP. (I have no idea why Thingiverse own links don't work in this description box, so I had to use a google URL shortener.)
