Parametric Z base printed clamp/spacer
cults3d
Prusa's rod clamps are quite good, but I don't actually need to adjust the spacing from Z smooth rod to frame. Here's a one-piece connector with an optional bearing holder. This fully parametric design includes rod spacing. You can match it with blddk's derivative of my Integrated Z motor mount+frame vertex+rod clamp - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12215 The overall size of the part is mostly determined by washer_diameter and the spacing distances. Horiz_distance is the distance between the center of the smooth rod clamp and the threaded rod that goes under the middle of your printer. This can be made smaller (minimum smooth_rod_diameter/2+threaded_rod_diameter/2) if you omit the bearing mount. 9 November - The new files are now uploaded with proper distances, preset to the standard, and M8 holes.
