Parametric Y Connector
thingiverse
A doctor friend recently mentioned a possible shortage of Y junctions for ventilator hoses, especially in cases where multiple patients need to be serviced off a single machine, like the setup shown here: https://hackaday.com/2020/03/19/saving-4-patients-with-just-1-ventilator/. I created a parametric OpenSCAD file that can accommodate most reasonable tubing dimensions. To avoid support structures, I recommend keeping the branch angle under 90 degrees. The scad file adjusts the branch length according to the split angle to ensure clearance for the lip. Safety considerations include: - Use at your own risk; neither liable nor responsible. - 3D printed items can be porous and permeable. - Check the SDS of any print for particulates and hazardous volatile compounds. - This solution will be inferior to similar parts from approved sources. - When moving the part from the print bed to a sealed container, assume you have COVID-19.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Y Connector with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Y Connector.
