Originally, the design featured a ball screw; however, it wasn't suitable for my needs as I desired a worm wheel compatible with a small threaded rod. Thus, I altered the worm gear's profile to match standard threaded rods. After extensive rendering (approximately 6 hours) and converting into an STL file, I further optimized the design by cutting out holes for reduced weight and material usage. Despite my belief that deeper threads would be beneficial, the initial print successfully meshed with my chosen SAE #10-24 threaded rod, providing a 400:1 speed reduction.
