Parametric watch strap and hardware
thingiverse
Customizable watch strap including straps, buckle, latch, and retainer loops to fully replace any part of a standard watch strap (except the retaining spring bars that anchor it to the watch). Straps and loops should be printed in a flexible filament like TPU. Buckle is difficult to print smooth enough to not cause discomfort with FDM printer, so recommend using a pre-existing metal buckle if you can. The following characteristics can be customized: - Strap length, width, and thickness - Hole diameter for spring bars - Size, number, and spacing of holes - 3 different buckle styles - Optional border and/or extruded SVG pattern printed onto the strap faces (pattern requires using the OpenSCAD desktop application; example SVG included) Additional Features: - Cutouts in strap loops top accommodate spring bars with quick release pegs - Support-free printing design I've used this to replace broken straps for two different watches so far and they've both held up very well for over a year of constant use. They probably aren't as sanitary as commercial straps due to the tiny grooves that FDM printers produce in the buttom layer (which are difficult/impossible to fully clean), but I haven't noticed any other issues with them.
