This tool is designed for metal pegs of 2.54mm (1/10") diameter from inline sockets. To specify measurements, provide pin ring diameter, pin hole diameter, number of pins, and socket height. Default settings are for IW-18 VFD tubes. Extract pegs from the plastic casing and insert into printed socket using a 150°C (302°F) heated soldering iron. Prior to insertion, solder wires to the pins to prevent damage to the printed socket; however, wiring can also be done post-insertion if preferred.
