Parametric universal spool holder with variable number of cutouts
thingiverse
This is a rework of the Parametric universal spool holder by rowokii. Changes made: - Used generator expression to create material-saving cutouts, allowing for a different number of cutouts. This looks great with 5 cutouts. - Added a tiny cylinder as support for easier printing of the hole of the bearing. This support can and should be broken away after printing. - Increased default diameter of bearing (+0.6mm) and rod (+0.3mm) for easier fit. **UPDATE** After printing this again with a different filament, I was less satisfied with the results. However, I found that it prints nicely when flipped upside down. In that case, the extra support cylinder is no longer needed. I now added "spool_holder_upside_down.stl", which is already flipped and does not have the support cylinder. Also, the cutout for the bearing prints more precisely in this orientation. Therefore, I reduced the extra diameter for the bearing from +0.6mm to +0.4mm.
