<p>Parametric U-Bolt Bracket to Bicycle Head Tube</p> <p>I created this bracket to mount a cargo rack to the front of my e-bike. The printed parts are to get support from the head post (50mm and 41mm in this case) to the aluminum profiles. The OpenScad design is included so the sizes and diameters of screws and tubes can be adapted. I currently use M5 stainless threaded rods that I bend around a tube and cover in a strong sleeve as to not unnecessarily damage the paint. The provided STLs are set for a 40mmx3mm aluminum profile connecting the top and bottom bracket and you need a backing plate to the u-bolt screws that should have a least the width of the brackets (as given 20mm) and a thickness appropriate for the cargo you are planning to hold.</p> <p>depending on your head tube and bearing symmetry one or two design elements have to be adapted and exported to stl. The printed plastic is to be bolted with metal plates so that the plastic only receives pressure load.
